HCM City Traffic Construction Project Management Board (Transport Department) announced that it will officially open the bridge branch 1 of the Bung Bridge New Construction project on December 5.

The new Bung bridge over the Tham Luong canal replaces the existing bridge with a narrow cross-section, which has been severely degraded, continuously causing traffic jams. Once completed, the project will connect Binh Tan and Tan Phu districts on Le Trong Tan street, solving traffic congestion in the area of ​​Bung bridge and contributing to the completion of the traffic infrastructure system. inter-region in the northwest area of ​​the city.



The project has a total length of 555 m, including reinforced concrete bridge and prestressed reinforced concrete. The project has a total investment of 515 billion VND, of which the cost of compensation for site clearance is 141 billion VND, serving the partial clearance of 39 households and 2 organizations.



Mr. Luong Minh Phuc, Director of the Traffic Department, said that the construction started in July 2017 and had to stop construction twice, once in 2018 due to problems in compensation for site clearance and once. in the third quarter of 2021 when the city implements social distancing against the Covid-19 epidemic.

From October 1, after the separation period, although the entire construction site has not been received in Tan Phu district, the Investor, with the support of the Department of Transport and related units, has found a solution to adjust the relocation plan. move technical infrastructure works to have space to continue construction.
