Domestic ETFs attract cash flow again
In the context of foreign investors diligently net selling on Vietnam stock market. Since the beginning of October, foreign investors have net sold nearly 7,000 billion dong on HoSE, thereby increasing the net selling volume from the beginning of 2021 to now to 48 trillion dong. However, domestic ETFs have continuously attracted capital recently.
SSIAM VNFIN LEAD ETF (HM: FUESSVFL) also had a positive signal with a net withdrawal of 174 billion dong. Meanwhile, the new ETF fund established in October, IPAAM VN100 ETF, also netted a total of 53 billion dong (including 52 billion dong IPO). Other ETFs such as SSIAM VN30 ETF (HM: FUESSV30) or MAFM VN30 ETF (HM: FUEMAV30) also saw a net withdrawal of 5.5 billion dong and 21 billion dong respectively in the month.
The only domestic ETF that has been net withdrawn since the beginning of October is DCVFM VNDiamond ETF with a value of 54 billion dong. However, the pressure to withdraw capital mainly took place in early October, while in recent days capital flow has returned to the DCVFM VNDiamond ETF.
Generally, from the beginning of October until now, domestic ETFs have netted a total of 478 billion dong, bringing the accumulated net withdrawal from the beginning of the year to now to 4,428 billion dong. This is quite a positive figure when many foreign ETFs have been heavily withdrawn such as FTSE Vietnam ETF (withdrawing more than 1,600 billion dong after 10 months) or KIM Kindex Vietnam ETF (withdrawing more than 1,800 billion dong).
